Few divorces captured tabloids like that of Mike Tyson and Robin Givens. The boxing legend and the “Head of the Class” actress, in the late 1980s. Their union happened in 1988, but quickly turned stormy, with Robin calling it “torture, pure hell” during a sensational “20/20” interview.
Come October 1988, Robin filed for divorce, alleging abuse. Their split was finalized in early 1989. Reports pegged the settlement at $10 million, but she later denied receiving a dime.
