Would You Drive These Disasters? The 45 Worst Cars of All Time
Maserati Biturbo Was Fast… at Breaking
The Maserati “Biturbo,” released in 1981, was like a fancy Italian suit held together with cheap thread. It looked classy on the outside, but the second you actually used it, everything fell apart—literally. The twin-turbo V6 was a great idea in theory but in practice? Boom! Turbo failure, engine fires, or just a whole lot of expensive smoke.
Then there was the interior, which was supposed to feel luxurious but aged worse than a forgotten banana. The build quality was so subpar that Time magazine included it in its list of the “50 Worst Cars of All Time.” It was so unreliable that mechanics started recognizing Biturbo owners on sight.
