Mitsubishi Mirage Was Barely a Car
There’s cheap, and then there’s Mitsubishi “Mirage” cheap. The 2014 Mitsubishi “Mirage” was designed to be affordable, fuel-efficient, and practical, but instead, it was slow, noisy, and sad. Under the hood was a tiny 78-horsepower three-cylinder engine, which meant drag racing a lawnmower was a fair fight.
Highway driving? Hope you like hearing road noise at full volume. The interior was so barebones it made budget rental cars look luxurious, with hard plastic everywhere and seats that felt like they came from a bus stop. Consumer Reports put it on its 10 Worst Cars of 2013 list, and for good reason.
