Fiat Multipla: The Car That Scared Children
The 1998 Fiat “Multipla” wasn’t just ugly—it was a full-on design crime. Fiat tried to create a bold, futuristic MPV, but what they ended up with was a rolling meme. The two-tiered headlights looked like they were glued on as an afterthought, and the bulging windshield made it seem like the car was constantly shocked by its existence.
Despite the nightmare exterior, the “Multipla” was oddly practical—offering six seats in just two rows, which would be great for families if they could get past the styling. Fiat tried to fix things with a facelift in 2004, but the damage was done.
