Mysterious Lava Spirals
This unique pattern was captured on the surface of Mars. Many find it hard to believe it was created naturally because it appears too precise to be anything but artificial. However, it was soon revealed to result from ancient lava flows. These intricate spiral patterns, known as lava vortices, showcase the planet’s volcanic history.
Experts have noted that the largest lava spirals on Mars measure up to 100 feet wide, surpassing the size of any known lava spirals on Earth. With its towering volcanoes, Mars continues to surprise us, as some of these massive formations are believed to still be active.
