Life on Mars? Check Out NASA’s Most Convincing Evidence Yet

Speculation of Active Volcano

The European Space Agency’s Express Orbiter captured an astonishing image that quickly sparked debate. Many believed the photo revealed signs of an active eruption on the Red Planet because of the trail visible near the Arsia Mons volcano. Speculation grew as the image circulated, with some convinced they were witnessing volcanic activity.

However, Dr. Tanya Harrison, a member of NASA’s Opportunity Rover team, debunked the claim. She clarified that the trail wasn’t smoke but water ice crystals condensing on the volcano’s summit. Considering that this Arsia Mons volcano last erupted 50 million years ago, the idea of current activity is implausible.
