Some of the younger bikers started shifting uncomfortably, looking at each other as if searching for answers. The mood had changed, but they couldn’t quite explain why. Even their laughter sounded off, like they weren’t sure what was funny anymore.

Travis, desperate to reclaim control, forced a laugh and called out, “How about a race?” His voice held a false confidence, his bravado cracking. “Let’s see if that big rig of yours can keep up!” A few chuckles rippled through the crowd, but they were nervous ones. The challenge was ridiculous. Instead of getting angry, the trucker did something unexpected—he let out a quiet, amused laugh.
