Dick Van Dyke – Born in 1925

In the 1950s, Dick Van Dyke began his career as a stand-up comedian. He moved quickly to television, appearing on “The Phil Silvers Show” and “The Garry Moore Show.” In 1961, he debuted his own show, “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” which lasted five seasons and earned him three Primetime Emmy Awards.

In the 1960s, he succeeded with films such as “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Mary Poppins.” In 1971, he received an Academy Award nomination for his performance in “The Anderson Tapes.” He is an entertainment industry legend, having won Emmys, Grammys, Tonys, and Oscars. He’s also a Disney veteran, with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
